As a light shines brighter when shared, so too does knowledge illuminate the world when generously imparted.
When someone asks what you do, and you say, "Well...it's kind of like...," you've already lost them.
The #1 reason people don't refer you isn't because they don't like you or your service, it's because they don't understand it well enough to explain it to someone else.
So here's your quick challenge from me:
Can you describe what you do in one clear sentence without jargon?
Try my formula:
I help (who you serve) solve/other action (specific problem/action) so they can (desired outcome).
My Real Example:
I help sales professionals grow with strategy, grit, and confidence so they can land a promotion, earn higher salaries, and reach goals they once thought were out of reach.
Bonus Tip: Add a story or example when you're networking. Stories stick, features don't.
When you give people clarity, you make it easier for them to refer you. And that's how your business grows, one clear sentence at a time.
